J&H Sales and Service has just recently been approved as the authorized Vermeer Hay Equipment Dealer in the Chesley area. According to John Winkels, director of J&H Sales and Service hay products group, the decision to add the Vermeer hay equipment to their equipment mix is based primarily on “the high level of focus and emphasis Vermeer places on product innovation in the area of hay harvesting and processing.  These folks invented big round baling more than 30 years ago.  And they’re one of the leaders in the hay equipment industry today.  Their parts, service and warranty support is exemplary; which makes them the kind of company we like doing business with,” added Winkels.   “Hay producers have special needs.  We take a lot of pride in serving those needs, whatever the situation; so, it’s nice to have a partner who understands what it takes to keep producers running when it’s time to make hay.”   Several J&H Sales and Service employees are gearing up to travel to Vermeer corporate headquarters in Pella IA, to undergo Hay Specialist training in sales, service, parts and retail financing.   Vermeer manufactures a full line of haying equipment including large round balers, mowers, mower/conditioners, rakes, bale processors, silage wrappers, bale movers and hay handling equipment.  The company is also world-renown as a producer of industrial equipment for tree, construction, environmental and underground utility service work sold through a separate international sales organization.
